Mumbai, Oct 31 : The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) appreciated 273.41 points on Thursday on foreign fund inflow and hopes of tax sops for equity investors.
Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose by 74.80 points to 11,918.90. The Nifty recorded day intra-day high and low at 11,923.39 and 11,883.05 points respectively.
The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 40,328.89 and 40,178.25 points respectively.
The gainers were SBI by 4.38 pc to Rs 302.65, Infosys by 4.02 pc to Rs 687, Tata Motors by 3.23 pc to Rs 177.40 and Tata Motors DVR by 2.31 pc to Rs 81.85.
The losers were M & M by 1.03 pc to Rs 610.35, Tech Mahindra by 0.87 pc to Rs 747.95, Tata Steel by 0.70 pc to Rs 385.35 and Axis Bank by 0.49 pc to Rs 743.95. (UNI)
