Mumbai: The Benchmark Index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Sensex has moved up marginally in the morning trades on Wednesday. Sensex has gained 95 points at 36,576.
The Benchmark Index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Nfity rose 21 points to 10,838.
While 914 shares advanced, 776 shares declined on the BSE. On the sectoral front, buying seen in the auto, oil &gas, metal, pharma, energy and infra, while FMCG and IT indices are trading lower.
Major gainers were Tata Steel up by 3.01 per cent to Rs.355.35, JSW Steel by 2.41 per cent to Rs.221.40, Bajaj Finance up by 2.32 per cent to Rs.3446.70, Bajaj Finserv up by 1.77 per cent to Rs.7,277, Gail up by 2.35 per cent to Rs.135.
Major losers were Britannia down by 2.80 per cent to Rs.2617, ONGC down by 2.58 per cent to Rs. 126, Coal India down by 1.57 per cent to Rs.194, Eicher Motors down by 1.19 per cent to Rs.16,901 and UPL down by 1.07 per cent to Rs.557.25.
