Mumbai, 04 Sep 2019: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Sensex has bounced back on Wednesday by moving up 105 points to 36668 points, supported by a recovery in banking stocks, tracking a bounce-back in Asian peers.
The benchmark index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Nifty also has move up 25 points to 10,823 points. On Tuesday, the Sensex had ended 2.06 per cent lower and the Nifty settled at a loss of 2.04 per cent in their worst percentage drop since October 11 and July 8.
Top gainers were HDFC Bank up by 2.21% to Rs.2259, SBI by 1.59% to Rs.273, Bharati Airtel by 1.83% to Rs.343. Top losers were Sunpharma down by 6% to Rs.413, Tata Motors by 4.17% to Rs.107.95 and Asian Paints by 2.81% to Rs.1532.
