Mumbai, Aug 27 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday gained further by 164 points to open at 37,658.48 on gains in Banking, Finance, Auto stocks along with positive global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too surged by 64.85 points to 11,122.70.
The sectoral indices like FMCG, Finance, Realty and Bankex kept the market firm in early trade.
The gainers were Tata Motors by 7.19 per cent to Rs 118.45, Tata Motors DVR by 6.80 per cent to Rs 55.75, Yes Bank by 3.10 per cent to Rs 64.95, Tata Steel by 2.84 per cent to Rs 347.50 and L & t by 2.79 per cent to Rs 1371.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.94 per cent to Rs 350.10, Infosys by 2.40 per cent to Rs 783.60, TCS by 1.25 per cent to Rs 2246.65 and Tech Mahindra by 1.14 per cent to Rs 683.10.(UNI)
