Mumbai, Aug 7 : The Rupee on Wednesday fell marginally five paise to 70.88 on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and imports, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit remained weak because of strong dollar against other world currencies along with sliding equity market, dealer said. The domestic unit declined by 13 paise to 70.96 in early trade and finally settled at 70.88, easing by 5 paise from its last close.
The Rupee recorded day high and low at 70.97 and 70.62 respectively, they added. (UNI)
