Mumbai, Aug 2 : The BSE Sensex remained weak for another day on Friday as it dropped 265 points to 36,752.66 as selling pressure was seen across-the-board.The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too declined by 68.80 points to 10,911.20. Slumping by 462 points on Thursday, the Sensex opened negative at 36,920.11, down by 98 points. At the moment it was trading at 36,752.66, fell by 265 points. The Nifty recorded day high and low at 10,935.55 and 10,848.95 points respectively.
The sectoral indices like material, Finance, industrial, utilities and bankex kept the market weak for another day. The losers were VEDL by 3.26 pc to Rs 140.85, Tata Steel by 2.79 pc to Rs 407.85, ONGC by 2.59 pc to Rs 133.40 and ICICI Bank by 2.41 pc to Rs 407.10. The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 3.67 pc to Rs 335.85, Asian Paints by 1.96 pc to Rs 1534, M & M by 1.80 pc to Rs 557.50 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.45 pc to Rs 5654.70. UNI
