Mumbai, Apr 26 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday opened higher by 135 points to 38,865.83 as fresh buying was seen in Materials, FMCG, Health Care, Bankex, Capital
Goods and Metal stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too gained by 52 points to 11,674.70. The sensex registered intra day high and low at 38,897.63 and 38,765.73 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,697.55 and 11,661.75 points respectively. The sectoral indices include Materials, FMCG, Health Care, Bankex, Capital Goods and Metal stocks pushed the market.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 6.07 pc to Rs 541.90, Infosys by 1.39 pc to Rs 738.90, Axis Bank by 1.15 pc to Rs 2216.90 and NTPC by 1.09 pc to Rs 134.75.
The losers were Tata Motors DVR by 1.67 pc to Rs 105.80, Tata Motors by 1.65 pc to Rs 218.05, Maruti Suzuki by 1.56 pc to Rs 6795 and Kotak Bank by 1.39 pc to Rs 1346.05.UNI
