Mumbai, Apr 4 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday declined by 73.71 points at 38,803.41 as selling pressure was seen in Materials, Finance, Utilities and Auto stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 19.70 points to 11,624.25. The sensex registered intraday high and low at 38,939.35 and 38,784.91 points, respectively. The Nifty recorded intraday high and low at 11,661.30 and 11,615.95 points, respectively.
The sectoral indices include Materials, Finance, Utilities and Auto stocks. The losers were HCL Technology by 1.99 pc to Rs 1094.85, Yes Bank by 1.37 pc to Rs 270, ONGC by 1.06 pc to Rs 154, Reliance Industries by 0.95 pc to Rs 1360.80 and Infosys by 0.93 pc to Rs 747.05.
The gainers were Bharti Airtel by 1.66 pc to Rs 355.70, Asian Paints by 1.65 pc to Rs 1521.60, HeroMoto Corp by 1.31 pc to Rs 2618 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.05 pc to Rs 7148.25.
