Mumbai, Mar 28: The Rupee on Thursday heavily down by 45 paise to 69.34, a two-week-low on brisk demand for US Dollars by importers, dealers at Forex Market said.
In opening trade, the local unit fell by 17 paise to 69.06 against the greenback. Till the end of the session today it lost upto 45 paise to 69.34 as compared to previous close.
High osccillation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 69.36 and 68.92 respectively.
The Indian currency dropped owing to firm dollar against other world currencies, however rebounding equity market capped from further down, they added.
