Mumbai, Jan 31 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday rallied by 317 points at 35,908.29 in opening trade as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too moved up by 80.25 points to 10,702.25. The sensex registered intra day high and low at 35,912.02 and 35,740.07 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,732.40 and 10,678.55 points respectively. The sectoral indices shot up were Materials, Finance, Bankex, Industrials, Telecom, Captial Goods stocks.
In scrips, Infosys, Reliance Industries, Hind Unilever, Axis Bank and SBI pushed the sensex up in early trade. The gainers were Infosys by 2.43 pc to Rs 742.50, Reliance Industries by 2.10 pc to Rs 1219.95, Hind Unilever by 1.73 pc to Rs 1759.95, Axis Bank by 1.72 pc to Rs 702.75 and SBI by 1.43 pc to Rs 291.60.
The losers were Yes Bank by 3.26 pc to Rs 192.90, Bajaj Finance by 1.83 pc to Rs 2548.95, Maruti Suzuki by 0.46 pc to Rs 6498.15 and Hero MotoCorp by 0.43 pc to Rs 2597.60. UNI
