Mumbai, Dec 11 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday Monday slipped further by 183.92 points to 34,775.80 as investors turned jittery over exit poll results ahead of outcome of state elections and weakening rupee also impacted the same.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchang (NSE) too fell by 34.60 points to 10,453.85. The sensex registered intra day high and low at 34,778.36 and 34,426.29 points. It had tumbled down by 533 points to 34,426.29 intra day low.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 10,459.15 and 10,333.85. The sectoral indices that edged down were Energy, Finance, Telecom, Bankex, Oil and Gas dragged the market further, dealers informed.
The losers were HDFC by 1.85 pc to Rs 2050.50 , Tata Steel by 1.57 pc to Rs 494.15, ICICI Bank by 1.53 pc to Rs 341.05 and Adani Ports by 1.35 pc to Rs 354.50. The gainers were Yes Bank by 4.23 pc to Rs 172.35, Sun Pharma by 1.84 pc to Rs 406.20, Asian Paints by 1.63 pc to rs 1293.45 and Axis Bank by 1.56 pc to Rs 599.20. (UNI)
