Sensex surges by 1,213.28 points in week ended Nov 30, 2018

Mumbai, Dec 1: The Benchmark Index of Bombay Stock Exchange rose 1,213.28 points or 3.47 per cent to settle at 36,194.30 on steady decline in crude oil prices, amid positive global cues in the week under review.

Firmness in Rupee also boosted the investor sentiments. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, regained the psychological 36,000 level during the week.

The Nifty 50 index rose 350 points or 3.32 percent to settle at 10,876.75 Indices logged gains on all five trading sessions during the week.

The BSE Mid-Cap index rose 159.01 points or 1.07 per cent to settle at 15,039.35. The BSE Small-Cap index rose 76.33 points or 0.53 per cent to settle at 14,427.16.

Stocks scored strong gains on Monday, November 26, 2018 on positive global stocks. Sensex rose 373.06 points to settle at 35,354.08. Nifty also rose 101.85 points to settle at 10,628.60.

Domestic stocks ended with modest gains on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 backed by firmness in index pivotals.

Sensex rose 159.06 points to settle at 35,513.14. Nifty rose 57 points to settle at 10,685.60.

Indices logged gains on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 led by gains in index pivotals Infosys, TCS and Reliance Industries. Sensex, rose 203.81 points to settle at 35,716.95. Nifty rose 43.25 points to settle at 10,728.85. (UNI)
