New Delhi, Jun 8 : Delhi's COVID-19 contagion tally inches to 30k with the figure now rising to 29,943 confirmed cases on Monday. According to the Delhi state health bulletin released here , 1,007 fresh infections were reported in the past 24 hours in the capital. Fatalities in the city have also witnessed an increase , with the toll now mounting to 874 deaths so far due to the pandemic here till date. Cases under active medical supervision have increased to 17,712 in the city ,while 248 patients have occupied the ventilator beds in the dedicated COVID hospitals.
Meanwhile, 11,357 patients have recovered so far from the viral infection in the city after 358 contagion survivors were added to the list since Sunday. So far, 2,55,615 cumulative tests have been done till date in the city, as per government data. Containment zones again witnessed a sharp increase in the past one day and now 183 places are under the arrangement across the city at present. Borders of the state today opened up for inter state movement along with opening up of malls , restaurants and places of worship across the city. Movement of traffic witnessed a rise as further relaxations and interstate movement was opened for the public.
Delhi LG on Monday has reversed the Delhi government's decision made ion Sunday of reserving its hospitals for the people of the city till the Corona situation subsides. And due to LG s order the hospitals of Delhi Government and those private hospitals will be open to all like always. (UNI)
