New Delhi, Jun 6 : After having a sharp spike of 1,320 fresh infections in the past 24 hours, Delhi's contagion tally on Saturday mounted to 27,654, government data said. The fatalities due to the pandemic in the National Capital have now reached 761 , after 53 deaths were reported since Friday, as per the Delhi state health bulletin released here.
At present there are a total of 16229 active cases in the city, while 176 are under ICU/ventilator support in the COVID dedicated hospitals here. A total of 918 patients were added to the list of cases under the active medical supervision in the state since Friday. Dedicated COVID hospitals are presently housing 2586 patients. There is an improvement on the recoveries front, with 349 patients defeating the virus in the past one day, taking the cured and discharged cases figure now to 10664 till date.
There are a total of 11,267 patients are under home isolation in the city , as per the government's data update. So far, 246873 cumulative COVID tests have been conducted here till date, the government bulletin said. Number of containment zones in the city have now increased to 169 across the national capital.
