New Delhi, Jun 1 : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said Delhi borders will be sealed for a week and only those in essential services will be allowed to enter. Addressing a digital press conference here, Mr Kejriwal said a decision on whether to open the borders of Delhi will be taken after seeking suggestions from the people.
'We are currently sealing the borders of Delhi for a week. Essential service people will be able to come. Further, the decision on whether to open the borders of Delhi will be taken after the suggestions of all,' Mr Kejriwal said. 'With borders opening up but Corona cases rising, can Delhi open its hospitals for treatment of people from across the country? Will it put pressure on capacity to handle Corona? Should Delhi’s hospitals be reserved for Delhi residents? We seek your suggestions,' he said. Mr Kejriwal has sought suggestions from the people by 1900 hrs on Friday. (UNI)
