New Delhi, May 23 : Delhi Police has arrested two members of 'Pinjra Tod' group in the case of violence in North East Delhi, which took place early this year. The group issued a statement on Saturday, stating that two of his members--Devangana and Natasha have been arrested by the police this evening. Both have been arrested from their homes.
The group said that after interrogation by the special cell, the police of Jaffrabad police station arrested both of them. The police have not told their families about the reasons for their arrest. The statement said that in the last two months many students and agitators have been arrested by the police. Violence took place between 23 and 26 February in North East Delhi between supporters of the Citizenship Amendment Act and those opposing it, killing more than 50 people and injuring hundreds. (UNI)
