Delhi’s highest single day spike of 30 fatalities, tally jumps to 13,428

New Delhi, May 24 : The national capital has recorded 30 Covid deaths in the past 24 hours, the highest casualties in a day so far, taking the death toll to 261 here on Sunday.

According to the Delhi government, the Covid tally in the national capital has crossed the 13k mark on Sunday with a sharp rise of 508 infections since Saturday, with the figure now standing at 13,428.

Delhi is in the fourth position in the country in terms of housing maximum number of infections. According to the data by the state's health department, active cases under medical supervision at present are 6617. The total number of patients under Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are 184 while 26 patients are on ventilator support.

A total of 273 patients have been cured and discharged in the national capital , taking the total number of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) recoveries here to 6540 so far. The chief minister of the capital and health minister are regularly attending meetings with the incharge doctors and the senior health officials in view of closely monitoring the situation. (UNI)
