New Delhi, May 19 : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday urged the people of Delhi to stay disciplined and follow social distancing norms, as the national capital reopens with restrictions in the lockdown 4.0. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the CM said, “Some economic activities are starting from today. It is our responsibility to follow discipline and control the coronavirus disease. Masks, hand sanitisers and social distancing are important. I pray to God to keep you and your family healthy. If we stay disciplined, God will help us.”

Mr Kejriwal’s tweet came a day after the guidelines for Covid-19 were issued by the Delhi government for lockdown 4.0, which began from May 18. The Delhi guidelines for lockdown 4.0 which is till May 31 includes-Barber shops, spas and saloons will remain closed for now. Stepping out of homes between 1900 hrs pm to 0700 hrs except for essential services will be prohibited. Taxis and cabs will be allowed but only two passengers at a time in a car.

Auto rickshaw and e-rickshaw with one passenger each, buses with 20 passengers to be allowed. Private offices can open at full strength but they should try that most of the staff works from home. Markets can open but on an odd-even basis. Sports complexes and stadiums can open but without spectators. Religious gatherings are not allowed in Delhi till May 31. Restaurants can open for home-delivery, dining facilities are not allowed. Two-wheelers will be allowed but with no pillion rider. 50 people are allowed in marriage functions and 20 people can attend funerals. No activity will be allowed in containment zones in Delhi. (UNI)
