New Delhi, May 11: The Delhi Government on Saturday issued order to let the Tablighi Jamaat members go home from the quarantine centres. A few days ago, Delhi Health Minister said that the members of the Jamaat who have completed quarantine would be sent home accordingly, and now have issued order regarding the same.
Around 2446 Jamaat members, who took part in the Jamaat's congregation held at Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi in March, are being kept at different quarantine centres. In the order, the Government said that as per the Standard Operating Procedure according to the Central Health Ministry, those who have recovered could be now sent home. The order has also asked the officials to make sure that the Jamaat members, who will be released from the quarantine centres, go their homes straightway and do not go here and there.
The Jamaatis in the quarantine centres who are from Delhi may be issued with the passes, the order said. The police has been asked to keep complete vigil on how they are going to their home states and also make sure that those released do not stay at any other place other than their homes. (UNI)
