New Delhi, May 11: AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal, who was arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with the alleged suicide case of a doctor, was sent to four days police custody on Sunday by a Delhi Court. Jarwal, along with his associate Kapil Nagar, was presented before the court on Sunday. They were sent on four days police custody, after police asked for their ten-day custody in view of the investigation.
The two were arrested after questioning on Saturday in connection with Dr Rajendra Bhati's alleged suicide case in South Delhi. The doctor allegedly committed suicide last month. A case was registered with the Neb Sarai Police Station in this regard. Earlier, the police had summoned Jarwal twice, to which he ''did not respond and skipped allegedly'', following which, non-bailable Warrants were issued against him and associate Nagar.
On Thursday, the police questioned Jarwal's brother and father in this connection. Dr Bhati, who allegedly committed suicide at his residence on April 18, had left a note ''which had Jarwal's name on it'', wherein the doctor had alleged Jarwal and his aide of threatening him. (UNI)
