New Delhi, May 7 : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced an ex-gratia of Rs one crore to the family of Delhi Police constable Amit Rana, who lost his life fighting against Coronavirus.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the CM said, "Amit ji did not care for his life and kept serving the people of Delhi. He got infected with corona and lost his life. On behalf of the people of Delhi I pay homage to his sacrifice. Rs one crore ex-gratia will be given to his family.” The 31-year-old constable died at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital on Tuesday evening. He was posted at police station Bharat Nagar. (UNI)
