He said these langar cooked food packets will be distributed to each and every needy passenger irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, and additional food packets if required by any passengers, will also be provided to them to make their journey comfortable.

“DSGMC volunteers will coordinate with local railways platform authorities for ensuring timely distribution to each passenger before the train is moved out of the railway station. Every effort will be made to provide a fresh, hot and nutritious langar meal to homebound passengers standard at various states due to national wide lockdown to make their journey memorable and comfortable,” he said. The langar will be prepared by professionals who have been working in the gurdwaras for several years. In the past couple of weeks, these cooks have been working around 15-16 hours every day to meet the growing demand for meals. One mini truck of the gurdwara will be used to transport langar to various railways stations from time to time.(UNI)
