Doctor commits suicide in South Delhi, complaint filed against AAP MLA Jarwal

New Delhi, Apr 18: A 52-year-old doctor allegedly committed suicide at his South Delhi residence on Saturday. A suicide note was recovered on his body which held AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal responsible for his death, police said.

PCR at the Neb Sarai Police station at around 0617 hours informed police regarding suicide by a person. When the police reached the spot, it was found that doctor Rajendra Singh had allegedly committed suicide at his Durga Vihar residence by hanging from the ceiling.

The crime team inspected the spot and had sent the body for post-mortem the police said. His son filed a complaint against Deoli AAP MLA Jarwal and his associate Kapil Nagar for allegedly threatening his father. Based on the complaint of deceased's son, the police have registered a case for abetment of suicide and extortion at Neb Sarai Police Station. The police informed that deceased doctor used to run a clinic at Durga Vihar and also had a water tanker contract business. Further probe was underway in the matter. (UNI)
