Delhi's famous Shaheen Bagh area, which had hit the headlines for anti-CAA protest from December till March, has become one of the hotspots of Covid-19 outbreak.

Delhi government included the area in its list of Covid-19 cluster containment zones on Thursday, along with a street in nearby Abul Fazal Enclave and a part of East Ram Nagar in Shahdara. With these additions, the list of Covid-19 clusters in Delhi has climbed to 620

A total of 62 new positive Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have surfaced in Delhi in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 1640, Office of the Chief Minister said here on Thursday night. The figure includes 1,080 cases under special operations and 425 cases with foreign travel history/contacts history, the CMO Delhi posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. Till date, 38 people in Delhi have lost their lives due to the dreaded virus.

As per the Centre's cluster containment strategy and AAP government's Operation Shield, the identified zones are sealed and the movement of residents is strictly restricted.
