New Delhi, Mar 26: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday informed that shops providing essential services will be allowed to operate 24x7 in the National Capital during the 21-day "total lockdown"
Addressing a digital press conference here with Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Mr Kejriwal said, ' Delhi government has decided to allow shops and establishments providing essential services, including grocery shops, to operate 24x7.' Earlier in the press conference, Mr Baijal said, 'As a special measure, grocery and essential supplies
stores will be allowed to operate 24x7. This will help in staggering customer visits and help in maintaining social distancing norms.' The Delhi Lieutenant Governor said online service providers delivering essential services will be allowed.
Mr Kejriwal further informed that food home delivery services have been allowed and the delivery persons can show their ID cards that will be sufficient. (UNI)
