No COVID case in Delhi past 40 hrs; construction workers to get Rs 5,000/month: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Mar 24 : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday informed that no new case of Coronavirus has been reported in Delhi in the last 40 hours and to curtail the financial losses occurring from the lockdown, his government would provide Rs 5,000 a month to construction workers.

At a press conference here in the evening, Kejriwal said, “In last 40 hours, no new patient has tested positive for Coronavirus in Delhi but we still need to be vigilant and careful.” He said there were a total of 30 coronavirus patients in Delhi, few have been treated and discharged.

“There are only 23 patients now,” Kejriwal said. He announced that the Delhi Government will provide Rs 5,000 a month to construction workers for their livelihood which has been affected due to COVID-19 outbreak. "We don't want the poor to suffer,” the Chief Minister said. (UNI)
