New Delhi, Mar 20: In the wake of 'Janta Curfew' to be observed on March 22, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has decided to keep it's services closed.
The move is aimed at encouraging the public to stay indoors and maintain social distancing, which is essential in the fight against COVID-19, a DMRC spokesperson said here on Friday. In his address to the nation on the threat of Novel Coronavirus in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said, 'I request everyone to observe 'Janata Curfew' from 7am to 9pm on Sunday, wherein all people will remain at home during this period.
He also called on the people of the country to thank the sections of the society, who have been working day and night to serve the people, amid the COVID-19 scare. (UNI)
