New Delhi, Mar 5: Delhi government on Thursday announced that all primary schools would remain shut till March 31 as a precautionary measure against Coronavirus.
"As a precautionary measure to prevent the possibility of spread of COVID-19 amongst our children, Delhi Government has directed immediate closure of all primary schools (Govt/ aided/ private/MCD/NDMC) till 31/3/20," tweeted Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
The Human Resource Development Ministry on Wednesday directed the Chief Secretaries of states and the CBSE to spread awareness among students on basic protective measures against Coronavirus. In a circular issued by HRD Secretary Amit Khare, the government advised CS of all states to tell students to follow certain steps, including frequent hand wash and staying away from gatherings.
A new case of novel coronavirus was reported in Ghaziabad in the national capital region on Thursday, taking the total number in the country to 30 so far, official sources said. (UNI)
