New Delhi, Feb 16: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narender Modi over the latter's wishes on his swearing-in-ceremony day.
'Thank you for the warm wishes sir. I wish you could come today, but I understand you were busy. We must now work together towards making Delhi a city of pride for all Indians' he tweeted.
Mr Kejriwal had invited PM Modi over his oath taking ceremony to which the Prime Minister sent his greeting to the Delhi CM.
'I congratulate Shri @ArvindKejriwal on taking oath as Delhi’s CM earlier today. Best wishes to him for a fruitful tenure'.The Prime Minister had said in a tweet.
Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took oath as the Delhi Chief Minister for the third consecutive term at the historic Ramlila Maidan.
Along with 51-year-old former Indian Revenue Service officer Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Imran Hussain and Rajendra Pal Gautam -- took oath as ministers. All of them had served as Cabinet ministers in the previous AAP government.
The Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues, were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. (UNI)
