New Delhi, Feb 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged people of the national capital to vote in record numbers for the Delhi Assembly polls.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, the Prime Minister said, 'Today is polling day for Delhi Assembly elections. I appeal to all electorate to turn out in large numbers to take part in the democratic process and make a new record.’
He urged the youth specifically to exercise their franchise. The polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly began at 8am and will conclude at 11 am. Counting of votes will be taken up on February 11. (UNI)
