New Delhi, Feb 7: In order to facilitate the movement of polling staff and voters to reach their destinations on time, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday announced to start its services from 0400 hrs on Saturday.
"In order to facilitate the polling personnel and others to reach their destinations on time, Delhi Metro services will begin at 4:00 AM on 8 February 2020. Trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes till 6:00 AM. Normal services will resume thereafter," The DMRC said in a tweet.
The Delhi Metro, also known as the 'lifeline' of the city, has always proved instrumental in catering to the rising demands of the people of national capital, starting the metro services early on important days is one of their key aspects of services.
The voting will begin from 0800 hrs and end at 1800 hrs. The counting of votes will be taken up on February 11. (UNI)
