Tis Hazari court scuffle: Kejriwal meets injured lawyers

New Delhi, Nov 3: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday visited St Stephen's Hospital to meet the lawyers who were injured in a clash with Delhi Police at Tis Hazari Court and assured them that the Delhi government will bear their medical expenses. Talking to media persons, Mr Kejriwal said, “Yesterday's incident was unfortunate, the way lawyers were fired at, I condemn it. I met two people who were injured in firing, they are stable now, all of their medical expenses will be covered by the Delhi government."

"I hope justice will prevail after the orders issued by the Delhi High Court. I hope no such incident takes place in the future," Mr Kejriwal added.

At least 20 police personnel and several lawyers were injured while 17 vehicles vandalised, after a major scuffle broke out over a parking dispute, between Delhi police and lawyers at Tis Hazari Court complex in New Delhi on Saturday afternoon. (UNI)
