Three criminals captured in a joint operation by Delhi and UP Police

New Delhi, Oct 3 : After an exchange of fire in Meerut , Uttar Pradesh, three criminals were nabbed on Thursday night by Delhi Police Special Cell in a joint operation with UP Police.

As per police , around fifteen rounds were fired as the shoot out ensued between the criminals and police party when the police intercepted the three and they opened fire on the police teams at Transport Nagar in Meerut at around 9.15pm on Thursday night.

The three who were in the car opened fire when their vehicle was intercepted by the police and the police had to return fire in self defense wherein the three sustained injuries on legs. Three police personnel including two of Delhi Police and one from UP also took bullets on their bullet proof jackets and had a narrow escape during the exchange of fire.

The trap was laid down by the Delhi Police Special and UP Police after the cell receives inputs regarding arrival of Gauri and his three associates near Transport Nagar Meerut.
They were identified as Saddam Gauri , Usman and Dalip.
According to police , Saddam Gauri was wanted for several cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity, snatching, attack on police and under MACOCA.

Gauri is a dreaded criminal of Delhi and with the help of Neeraj Bawana gang including Rambir Shokeen had got their associate Amit Bhoora to escape in Bagpat area in 2014 by attacking on the police escort party and also robbed two AK 47 assault rifles and an SLR rifle from the police team, the police said.
