New Delhi, Sep 20: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday decided to expand the Bike Ambulance service for all of Delhi, to provide the last mile emergency healthcare services to the people of Delhi who live in narrow by-lanes of the city.
In a tweet, the Chief Minister announced his decision to expand the service.
Mr Kejriwal said, "I am happy that patients living in the narrow bylanes of Delhi are also getting health facilities through Bike Ambulances."
Earlier this year, in February, the Delhi government had flagged off 16 Bike Ambulances on a pilot basis in one district of East Delhi.
The service has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the residents of Delhi.The service which was targeted to give last-mile connectivity to emergency healthcare services to people who live in congested areas, where ambulances could not enter in the past. (UNI)
