New Delhi, Sep 4: Kapil Mishra, the rebel AAP MLA disqualified from Delhi Assembly, on Wednesday withdrew his plea from Delhi High Court which challenged his disqualification under anti-defection law. While speaking to media persons here, Mr Mishra stated that instead of challenging his disqualification, he would like to get back to the Assembly through people's verdict.
The former AAP MLA has recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that his sole motto was to throw the 'corrupt' AAP government out of the National Capital. Mr Mishra was disqualified from the Assembly in January this year under the anti-defection law for allegedly campaigning for the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls. He claimed that he was not the only person in the AAP who had shared the stage with rival parties.(UNI)
