Fifteen members of Kapil Sangwan gang arrested

New Delhi, Jun 25: Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested 15 criminals of the Kapil Sangwan gang from Delhi's Dwarka area, the police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the criminals had gathered in a farm house at Goyala Dairy to celebrate Kapil Sangwan's release on parole.
Following a tip-off, the IGIS Crime Branch of Dwarka conducted raid at the said location and arrested the gang members after verification and questioning.
The police team also recovered 9 pistols along with 65 rounds of live ammunition from their possession.
However, Kapil Sangwan was not present at the spot when police raided the farm house.
The arrested persons have previous criminal records and cases related to extortion, attempt to murder and others were pending against them, police said.
The farmhouse belonged to a person namely Vicky, and initially around 50 people were detained from the spot and after questioning and verification these 15 were arrested.
Questioning is underway of some other people who are under detention.
Further probe is underway to establish more linkages of the people arrested. (UNI)
