New Delhi, Jun 8 : The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Saturday nabbed a foreign passenger with 9 mm live cartridge at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, the force’s official said.
According to CISF, on Saturday afternoon around 0240 hrs during Pre-Embarkation Security Check through scanning machine at domestic security hold area at terminal 3, a CISF personnel detected a live round of 9 mm caliber from the hand baggage of a passenger.
The passenger later identified as Jean Pierre Francoise Baiardi, a Swiss National, was bound for Leh by Air India flight.“On enquiry, he couldn't produce any valid document. Later, the said passenger was offloaded and handed over to Delhi police and he was booked under section 25A of arms act”, the CISF Spokesperson told UNI . (UNI)
