In a new twist to the on-going investigation into the murder of 7-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, who was murdered in the Ryan International School washroom in Gurugram, the post mortem.report attributes the cause of death to excessive bleeding on account of a cut on the neck. The post mortem also revealed that the child could not cry out for help because the nerve that allows speech was severed in the attack.
But the report also ruled out sexual assault as was alleged earlier. This new development throws a dagger into the earlier assumption that the boy was silenced after being sodomised by the bus conductor.
Earlier the bus driver, Saurabh Raghav had claimed that the Gurgaon police and school management forced him to confess that knife used in the crime was part of the bus tool kit and also that he gave false statements against, the accused bus conductor Ashok.
Ashok’s father and wife too had said that the bus conductor had been falsely implicated. “My son is being falsely framed. My son is innocent; people have forcefully made him accept this crime,” the father of the accused bus conductor reportedly told a news agency. Ashok’s wife denied the allegations over her husband, saying he was forcefully made to accept the crime. She also added that he had never carried a dagger along with him.
The Haryana police too made a dramatic u-turn in this matter in its statement. After initially claiming that the school authorities had tampered with evidence, the police later contradicted its own statement saying there was no tampering of evidence and that the bus conductor was the only person involved in the murder.
Meanwhile, the top bosses of Ryan International School are under the scanner after investigations found glaring security lapses in their schools. The CEO of Ryan International school Ryan Pinto, his father Dr Augustine Francis Pinto who is the MD of the school and Grace Pinto who is the chairperson of Ryan Group were grilled by the police.
