Ex-Chhattisgarh CM’s condition deteriorates

Raipur, May 28 : Janta Congress chief and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi’s condition deteriorated further after he suffered a cardiac arrest, a medical bulletin issued by Narayana Hospital said on Thursday. Mr Jogi is admitted in the hospital for about three weeks and he is in a coma.

According to the bulletin Director Sunil Khemka said here Mr Jogi was in stable condition during the last few days but he suffered cardiac arrest once again on Wednesday night which led to deterioration of his condition. Doctors in their relentless effort performed Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) which restored his heart function.

Mr Jogi’s heart rate, blood pressure and other vital parameters were presently under control, the bulletin said. He suffered a cardiac arrest on May 9 and was rushed to the hospital.He is in a coma since then and is taking breaths with the support of a ventilator. His condition remains critical. Mr Jogi, aged around 74 years is a sitting legislator from Marwahi Assembly seat of the state. (UNI)
