New Delhi, Apr 11: E-commerce marketplace Flipkart and Tata Consumer Products Ltd have entered into a partnership to help the common man in the midst of the crisis that has arisen from the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Flipkart said these two companies will together supply essential food items and beverage products for the Indian consumers. Through this innovative distribution solution of its kind, Tata Consumer Products' distributors have been listed as marketplace vendors on the Flipkart platform.
Through this partnership, customers will be able to purchase different combo packs of essential products such as beverages (Tata Tea and Coffee) and food products (Tata rich spices, pulses and Nutri mix) offered by Tata Consumer Products Limited on the platform of Flipkart. This partnership will facilitate consumers to buy essential consumer goods by staying confined to their homes and following social distance.
Flipkart's marketplace will fulfill customer orders by picking up goods from distributors of Tata Consumer Company and delivering them through its delivery network. The partnership has already started in Bengaluru and the company intends to extend it to Mumbai and Delhi and further Tier 2 cities in the coming weeks. (UNI)
