Hyderabad, Feb 5: Havells India limited vice-president Shashank Srivastav on Wednesday said that the company has targeted to achieve third position from the present sixth position in water purifier segment during the next three years.
After unveiling its technologically advanced and latest range of Delite Alkaline RO water purifier with 50 per cent water recovery, Shashank said that the company had entered into the water purifier segment in 2018 by launching five products and now it has 20 products less than in two years time. Moving forward, in April and May this year, this portfolio would reach almost 25 plus products, he said and added that the products were available in between Rs 15000 and Rs 24,000.
The company has manufacturing unit at Haridwar with a capacity of 5 lakh units per annum. Stating that the water purifier industry size is Rs 4,500 crore in organized sector and Rs 2,000 crore in unorganized sector, Shashank said of the Rs 4500 crore, Rs 1500 crore is from service revenue and Rs 3000 crore from product revenue. He said the industry was growing at the rate of 10 per cent. Havells was also expecting a double digit growth this year.(UNI)
