Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 29 : Due to poor visibility at Shirdi, air carrier Indigo has suspended operations to the holy city till December 10.
In this period, all Indigo fights have been diverted to Chikalthana Airport. IndiGo connects Shirdi with major towns like Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, are being flown from the Chikalthana Airport here.
However, the air carrier has plans to start regular flights from January 2020 from the holy city.
"IndiGo is waiting for time slot at present. If the time slot is made available, the city would get more connectivity to various destinations through IndiGo flights," a statement said. The Airport Authority of India has allotted an office space to IndiGo, however the unavailability of time slots is impeding the beginning of regular IndiGo flight operations. (UNI)
