Bengaluru, Oct 24: Closure of Thomas Cook UK has not affected the business of Thomas Cook India since it is a totally different entity and a profit making company, Holidays Country Head Rajeev Kale said on Thursday.
Addressing a Press conference here today, he said that "no Indian traveler associated with the Thomas Cook India was affected due to the episode of the Thomas Cook UK affairs".
Maintaining that the company had registered a robust growth in terms of business and revenue earning, he said that the company has launched several unique new products for the 2020 season, which had received overwhelming response from the tourism enthusiasts.
Stating that Bengaluru has emerged as a key source market for the company and contributing over 18 per cent to it's revenue, he said that " cash rich time-poor millennial travelers in Bengaluru are opting for no-Visa, Visa on arrival and easy Visa destinations". The high growth segments from Bengaluru prefer European favorites like UK, France, Switzerland, Scandinavia also Hungary, Greece and Croatia.
The Cruise holidays have also witnessed strong growth of 26 per cent from Bengaluru, he said. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Delhi are among the segments which remains as a backbone for the company's growth, he added. (UNI)
