Hyderabad, Aug 23 : Hyderabad-headquartered Equiv.in, the diversity vertical of Stockroom on Friday announced the launch of ‘Frontiers’, one of its kind career fair platform for defence veterans to get back into work force.
Conceptualized on the extremely successful model of ‘Women Change makers Career fair’ and confluence’, this event will be completely free for the members of veterans community to explore opportunities with India’s top companies, Equiv.in Founder and CEO Naren Krishna said at a press conference here.
Under Women Change maker’s career fair, about 65,000 women had registered and 800 had got jobs in different companies, he said.
Equiv.in becomes the first company in India to address the issue of diversity and inclusion across all the spectrums – women, physically challenged, LGBTQIA (“Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) and defence veterans. He said more than 75,000 veterans leave duty each year who would be in the age group of 35-45.
"Through Frontiers, we would want to organize exclusive career fairs for veterans and play an important role by re-integrating veterans into society again," he added.
