Jamshedpur, 15 Aug, 2019: After witnessing a sharp slowdown in sales, the Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur factory in Jharkhand will be closed on August 16 and 17, a company official said.
"The Tata Motors will remain closed for four days from August 16. Officially it will be two days block closure but technically it will be closed for four days," news agency IANS quoted Tata Motors officials as saying.
As the auto industry is passing through an unprecedented crisis, all major Auto manufacturing companies are now looking at Government to tackle the issue. Slumping sales of cars and motorcycles are triggering massive job cuts in India's auto sector, with many companies forced to shut down factories for days and axe shifts.
