Kolkata, Aug 13 : OYO Hotels & Homes has announced a first-of-its-kind offering for its customers with complimentary insurance cover for guests as part of the booking price staying in OYO properties across India. The insurance cover has been launched in partnership with ACKO General Insurance, India’s first and fastest-growing Insurtech company which makes buying and using insurance effortless. With a shared vision of offering hassle-free services and a consumer-first approach backed by innovative technology, OYO and ACKO are launching this industry-first feature to ensure a great hospitality experience for the consumer, it said in a release issued here.
The complimentary insurance package offers OYO guests insurance coverage up to Rs 10,00,000 for protection against accidental death (coverage up to Rs 10,00,000), baggage loss (coverage up to Rs 10,000), accidental medical expenses (coverage up to Rs 25,000) among other benefits like OPD treatment, etc for the entire duration of their stay in a particular city. To begin with, OYO will be offering guests staying at OYO Hotels, OYO Home, OYO Townhouse, Collection O, SilverKey, Capital O and Palette Resorts this insurance, valid for their full period of stay in these properties.
The insurance cover will be applicable to bookings made via the OYO App, website, mobile website, direct bookings as well as walk-ins. The offering will be extended to other categories and booking channels in the coming days. On booking an OYO property, customers will be able to view their insurance policy on the booking confirmation page and by logging on to either of OYO and ACKO websites with their registered mobile numbers.
