Kolkata, Jul 22 : Giving a lift to the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), one more flight under the RCS- UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme has started its operation from Kolkata Airport.
On 20th July 2019, Indigo started their non-stop daily flight to Shillong from Kolkata. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma. With 61 passengers on board, 6E 7986 made its maiden journey to the capital city of Meghalaya, Shillong, at around 3pm.
With 8 new routes added recently, a total number of routes operational under UDAN scheme have now reached to 194. (UNI)
