Kolkata, 08 Jul : Godrej Interio, India's driving furnishings and interior arrangements brand, opened another establishment outlet in Joka, 40kms from Kolkata.

With the new store, the retail brand expects to reinforce nearness in the West Bengal as well as eastern markets. The home furniture segment in India is evaluated to associate with Rs 50000 crore.

From the national addressable market, the sorted out players have a market share of 15-18 per cent. From a state point of view, West Bengal market is evaluated to contribute about 22 per cent, said Mr Subodh Mehta, Vice President B2C, Godrej Interio.

"Joka is right now one of the most significant markets since the land players are thinking of township plans. Godrej Interio has a solid toehold in the West Bengal market attributable to its tremendous image review and critical client base in the area. The state contributed about 150 crores to our general incomes a year ago and we are expecting 10 crores of income for every year from this store. Attributable to its positive area and our solid image acknowledgement, we are sure that this store will further extend our scope. The following expansion plan in line is Store at Axis Mall, Rajarhat bringing in more supporters into the quickly growing Godrej Interio family", added Mr Mehta.
