Mumbai, June 14: The second Annual Network Virtualization & SDN India Conclave 2019, which was sponsored by the VMware & IBM and organized by the Konnect Worldwide Business Media, culminated here on Thursday in progressive tech deliberations.
The conclave was attended by the policymakers, senior representatives of Indian IT & Telecom industry besides more than 150 telecom leaders, innovators, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)s, technology providers, and partners, release said.
The eminent participants showcased, discussed and exchanged their vision,and identified key challenges as well as opportunities for the industry in the wake of an impending rise of 5G connectivity in India,release mentioned.
Telco's Vodafone Idea & Reliance Jio among others were part of eminent panels which mulled upon diverse issues relevant to the industry around network virtualization and software-defined networks or simply known as Cloud.
In the keynote address, VMWare Executive VP Strategy and Corporate Development Shekar Ayyar said: "5G connectivity is more relevant to the industry today than ever before. 5G will play a dual role as both a driver of new disruptive business models and as the essential converger of the four tech superpowers – Cloud, mobile, AI and IoT[Internet of things].” (UNI)
