Visakhapatnam, May 31 : Profit after tax of the Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) has more than doubled to Rs 44.59 crore during the last fiscal 2018-19 against Rs 17.14 crore in the last financial year 2017-18.
A DCIL release here on Friday said the turnover of the Company in the last financial year 2018-19 was Rs. 698.51 crore as against Rs.612.12 crore during the previous fiscal 2017-18.
During the last fiscal 2018-19, the Company carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Kamarajar (Ennore) Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Mongla Port (Bangladesh), Gujarat Maritime Board, Indian Navy- Kochi, Gangavaram Port and Mumbai Port.
The Earning per share (EPS) of the Company has also more than doubled to Rs.15.92 per share in the fiscal 2018-19 as against Rs.5.94 per share in the previous FY 2017-18.
The Board has recommended a dividend of 30 per cent (previous year 20 per cent ) for the financial year 2018-19. (UNI)
